How Ciudad Viva works

Ciudad Viva is a collaborative board of cultural events in Chile. Unlike an automatic aggregator that only collects information from other sites, on Ciudad Viva any person, collective, municipality or cultural organizer can create their own organization and post their events directly.

Anyone. You don't need to be an institution, a company or a municipality: an independent artist, a cultural center, a neighborhood association or any event organizer can sign up and post.

Posting on Ciudad Viva is completely free. We don't charge to create an organization, we don't charge to post events, and we don't sell tickets or process payments on the platform.

You create a free account, then create your organization (name, description and contact), and from there you can add your events with date, location, category and an image. It only takes a few minutes.

Yes. Events from new organizations go through a manual review before appearing publicly on the site, to prevent fraud and fake content. Once your organization is verified, your next events are published immediately, with no wait.

If your organization is new, your event stays under manual review by our team before being published. It's a one-time step meant to keep the platform free of scams and fake events, not a permanent barrier.

We manually review events from every new organization before they're published, and we verify organizations that prove to be legitimate and recurring. Verified organizations are shown with a verification badge on the platform.
